Contractors Part

Contractor is a freelancer or handworker who stand on it own and work at his or her own time according to the contract working plans.

At AltMass, our goal is to provide a secure, flexible, and transparent platform that makes it easy for contractors and employers to connect, collaborate, and get work done.

Get started

  1. Sign up – Create your contractor account on AltMass and verify your content.
  2. Update your profile – Add services and products to your profile. This will help you stand out to potential employers and increase your chances of getting the job.
    Looking for a job
    Find jobs that match your skills and submit recommendations to get hired.
  3. Browse jobs – Search for jobs that match your skills and services. You may also receive job offers based on the skills listed on your profile.
  4. Make an Offer – Use Make an Offer to make an offer when you see a job you like. Employers will contact you if they are interested in your resume & profile.
  5. Get Hired – Make an agreement with the employer and close the agreement before you start the job. get through
    Once you’re hired, your studio is set up to help you manage your work.
  6. Share and collaborate – Use WorkRoom to share information, communicate, and create invoices.
  7. Teamwork – Add team members, assign roles, and work more efficiently.
  8. Track – Track job updates, payments, and invoices.

Payment method Get paid and withdraw money securely.

  1. Use AltMass payment wallet – Ask your employer to deposit a minimum amount into the AltMass Payment Wallet account before you start work. Once you receive payment, it will be deposited into your cash account at AltMass.
  2. Options – AltMass has many withdrawal options. You can choose Bank Transfer, MoniePoint, Opay, Paypal & wire transfer, non Nigeria bank account, or direct deposit (US only) to withdraw money from your AltMass Cash account.
  3. Mail in – For some opportunities, you can mail in and track their status.

Activities with a higher chance of conversion deserve to be leaders. These jobs may be more competitive, invited by the employer, or added to your list.

Become a member
Use your directory to follow job openings or contact employers.

After you submit your request, you can send a message to the employer using your request before they contact you. These messages are called sales messages and you must be a premium, member to send them.

To start your sales pitch:

  1. Click on the “Offers” tab in the “Find a Job” section.
  2. Find the job you are looking for and click on the job icon.

Every job posting on AltMass has an open Questions and Answers (Q&A) section where you can get detailed information about the job directly from the employer. All contractor on AltMass can view the Q&A program, but only contractor with a paid membership can submit questions.

We encourage all contractor to use the Q&A board to process their job postings.
Keep the following in mind when using Q&A boards:

Don’t be rude or sarcastic.
Use the message boards only to ask practical questions, not to sell yourself. Do not share your contact information.
Questions or comments that do not follow the guidelines will be edited or deleted. A notification will be sent when your first comment is removed. If you fail to follow the instructions three times, you will be disqualified from asking a question.

Notes:
We reserve the right to skip notifications and limit/ban your access to Business Questions at any time.

A resume is a way to show your interest in a job and apply for it. You can send a proposal for a project you like, with specific information about the work you plan to offer and your preferred payment terms. You need proposal to submit request.

Once a form is submitted, it can be modified later based on discussions with the employer.

Notes:
Editing a proposal without using proposals. Once an agreement is made, it cannot be canceled and bids cannot be withdrawn.

Bidding on a job to which you have been invited will not provide a competitive advantage.

To view or edit Proposals you’ve submitted:

Click “Your Image Icon by display name” in the top menu.
Click “Proposals” and go to “In Discussion” or “All Proposals” to find the Proposals you want to change.
Click “Edit Proposals” for the Proposals you want to change, or click the “Proposals Details” tab to see Proposals details.

Proposals
Proposal template You can create templates with predefined tasks and attachments (documents, documents, etc.) to save time and effort when sending mail.

We follow a rigorous review process to identify and remove suspected illegal or fraudulent activity. Only recruiting materials that are “current” or meet legal employment standards will be posted immediately.

You can report a job that you believe is unfair or inappropriate.

Show the job:

Click the “Post this job” icon on the job description page.
Select the most appropriate reason for posting the job. Please add additional information if necessary.

Click “Submit.”

Note: All Jobs are posted or can be posted for free

Anyone can see the job and apply besed on their career interest.

My Employer – Job My Employees lists all the employers you have worked with AltMass. It also shows the performance and awards you have received from each employer every three months.

To ensure AltMass is a safe workplace that business owners and contractor can trust, we require all contractor to identify themselves.

As part of AltMass’s identity verification process, contractor must provide the following information:

ID:
Contact information
Current photos
Government-issued photo ID
Proof of address

Notes:
No personally identifiable information you provide will be sold or made public.
The name shared in the contact information must match the name on the photo ID provided.
The name and address shared in the contact information must match the information on the proof of address.
If you do not have a transfer history, employers may look up your ID on your statement. This can help you gain credibility in your workplace when you don’t have a work history at AltMass.

The process of submitting an ID is simple and takes only 2-3 minutes if you have all the necessary documents and information. To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend that you complete the following.

To start this process, go to Review in the content panel.

There are three steps to identity verification:

1. ID card

To verify your contact information, we need:

Mobile phone number (we will send an SMS verification number)
legal name, address

2. Upload photo now: Upload a photo you took within the last 60 days.

3. Present a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, voter card, ID card, etc.)

4. Submit proof of address Submit copies of any of the following documents:

Utility bills (electricity bills, water bills, internet bills, mobile phone bills, etc.) from the last 60 days
National ID card
insurance policy
banknote etc. Notes:
Images/documents must be in original colors and not edited/cropped.
All four corners of the ID must be visible in the image.
Both the front and back of the ID card must be presented.
The name shared in the contact information must match the name on the government-issued ID.
The name and address shared in the contact information must match the information on the proof of address.

If we need further information or clarification from you, we will contact you directly.

Once your account is verified, we will send you an email and any restrictions placed on your account will be lifted. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If we ask you to complete a personal verification form (via email or notification on your dashboard), you will not be able to send statements or transfer funds until the verification is complete.

If you fail to complete the self-certification process as required by us, your funds may be suspended and, in some cases, may result in withdrawal.

If you really want to make it work, consider changing your offer to make it visible. Special promotions are highlighted with green markers for maximum visibility and higher perceived value.

Contractor can now choose to keep everything private when submitting a request. If the business is private, the employer cannot comment and the details of the transaction are never included in the contractor’s job profile.

The transaction can be made public at any time as part of the contract. However, the changes will only apply to invoices created after the change.

Typically, AltMass Wallet is funded by the employer on a contract basis. Learn more about how the contract affects AltMass Wallet.

Contractor can also apply for AltMass Wallet funds. To request money manually:

Select a job below
– Job – Department.
Click to”Pay”.
Look for the plus (+) button
Say “Request money”.
Enter the number you want Called. Please click to confirm – Request more money.
You can choose Edit Request or Cancel Request to manage your request.

AltMass Wallet helps create transparency on the platform. It is an investment fund paid by the employer before the job starts. When AltMass Wallet receives funds, contractor have confidence that the funds are available and employers have confidence that the work can be reviewed before payment is made.

Funds in AltMass Wallet are not tied to a specific job or activity and can be used to pay for any activity related to that activity (tasks, key tasks, working hours, other work, and even bonuses). With approval, funds can be transferred to employers or contractor. In case of dispute, both parties can request arbitration as long as the money is available with AltMass Wallet.

Employers must pay for AltMass Wallet when creating a contract.
AltMass Wallet can start working once it receives the money.
Submit the work to the employer’s supervisor. Your employer deposits funds through AltMass Wallet and you receive payments.
Notes:
Any work you do without a AltMass Wallet account is at your own risk.

Profile Stats gives you insight into how your profile is performing on AltMass by providing you with information about your profile views and activity changes.

  • Profile views
    This shows you the total number of views your profile has received over the last 30 days, the last 365 days, or all time.
  1. Profile changes: These metrics show how employers are engaging with you.
  2. Contact Button Clicks: The total number of times employers have clicked the “Get Leave” button.
  3. Messages Received: All messages you’ve received from your workplace. Get Job Postings Received: All job posting invitations received.
  4. Personal Website Clicks: Total number of clicks on links to your website.
    The above metrics can help you evaluate the performance of your profile and identify optimizations that need to be made to increase conversion rates.
  • Maintenance
    Service tracking helps you evaluate whether each service listed on your profile is supporting employers and is effective. We show you how many times your program was viewed and how many times business owners were able to contact you via message, rehire, or send you invitations.
  • Portfolio Overview
    This reflects the views and comments the document receives.
  • All transactions are scored
    This means your overall business performance is based on three metrics: Customer Engagement (CAR), Customer Revenue (CER), and Customer Relation (CRR). This score helps you measure the success of your business and your ability to acquire new customers, make money from them, and retain their time.

Employers Part

At AltMass, our goal is to provide a safe, flexible, and transparent platform for employers and contractor to connect, collaborate, and get work done.

Create your employer account to get started.

Join AltMass – Sign up in one step and verify your content.
Post a Project – Share details of the project you want done and get offers from contractor within the specified time.
Search and invite contractor – Find contractor and invite them to submit your work.

Notes:
You can update your project post to a specific project post to attract more offers from good contractor and get up to 50% off the offer.
It’s free to sign up, post a project, and find contractor on AltMass. However, we charge a nominal 2.9% fee for every invoice you pay. We recommend paying by use of card or bank transfer to get 3% cash back, reducing your costs to zero.
Hire
Search, compare, and hire the best contractor.

  1. Evaluate services – Check out the services you receive from contractor and view their profiles to learn about their performance, feedback, knowledge, and income.
  2. Final Agreement – Work together to create a deal that includes payment terms, performance, and deliverables.
  3. One-Click Hire – Start working with a contractor in your studio right away when you hire them.

  3. Autopay – Use autopay to pay contractor when invoices go bad.

    Pay your invoice with Credit or Debit card or Bank transfer and get a full refund.
    Add a payment method to your account to get AltMass reviews and gain the trust of contractor.

It’s free to sign up to AltMass, post a job, search for contractor, and work on the platform.

We only charge a 2.9% processing fee on the invoiced amount. For example, if a volunteer sends you an invoice for ₦100, your total payout will be ₦102.90.

However, if you choose to pay by card, physical check, or bank transfer, we offer 3% instant cash back. This effectively reduces your costs to zero.

Notes:
The transaction fee is only charged when a payment is made, regardless of the payment method – AltMass Wallet, cash or other payment methods.
There is no additional cost to your cash.

We pay contractor a small fee for their work. Commission fees range from 5% to 9% depending on membership level. As an employer, you can choose to share up to 5% of your costs with contractor. Depending on your agreement and relationship with the contractor, you can choose to split labor costs as follows:

You pay 2.5% of the work fee. The remaining 2.5% belongs to the contractor. You pay a 5% processing fee. Independent contractors are not responsible for job expenses.

You do not have to pay for any work. Employer pay all costs of the job.

You can sign up for AltMass in two ways.

Method One
Create your employer account using your work or personal email:

Click “Register”.
Enter your full name, email address and accept our Services.
Select an employer based on your account type.
Choose a password and click “Register Now”.
Verification Email will be sent to your maillbox
Click the link to verify your account.
Check Your mail to verify the account. Notes:
All non-verified accounts will be automatically deleted. If you still cannot verify your email address, please contact us.

Method Two
Create your employee account using social login:

Click “Sign Up”.
Choose between Facebook, LinkedIn or Google.
Select an employer by account type.
Click “Send” to create your account. You can post as many jobs as you want and receive free ads within hours of posting.

Click here to create an account now.

Your displayed name is your identity on our platform. Your displayed name will be visible to contractor when you post a job, project or request a Proposals.

Change your displayed name:

Click on your profile picture and select “Edit my account”.
Click “displayed Logo” in the menu.
Change your Displayed Name.
Click “Save”.

Email is our primary means of communication. We send notifications and notifications about your account, jobs, payments, and more to your verified email. You can opt out of receiving email security updates and promotions from AltMass by updating your email address under the Edit My Account tab.

If you want to receive notifications from another email, you can add a second email in the Settings section of your profile.

In order for AltMass to be a safe marketplace that employers and contractors can trust, we require all users to verify their identity.

As part of personal verification, you must submit the following information:

* The contact information submitted must match the details on your government-issued ID.

When you sign up for AltMass, we assign a fake username as your registered email address.

To change your username:

Go to “Dashboard”
Click “Username” in the menu.
Enter your new username and current password to confirm.
Click “Save”

Notes:
Your username will not be publicly displayed on your profile and will be used for login purposes only.

The password verifies your right to use this account. Your AltMass password:

Must be at least 8 characters.
At least one lower case letter.
At least one upper case letter.
At least one number. There is at least one unique character.
To change your password:

Go to “Dashboard”.
Click “Change Password” in the menu.
Enter your current password and your new password.
Click “Save Changes”.
If you forgot your password, click here to reset it.

General Part

For faster one-click login, you can connect your Facebook, LinkedIn or Google account.

To connect your AltMass account to a social network, select the Social Networks tab on the Edit My Account page, select the Connect link option, and enter your social network information.

Once connected, you can log in by selecting the social network icon on our login displayed.

To delete your account on AltMass:

Go to “Dashboar”.
Select “Delete Account”.
Select the reason and click “Delete”.

Notes:
Please make sure there is no money in your AltMass Wallet and Cash account before deleting your account. If you have money in AltMass Wallet, please submit a “Withdrawal” request.
Once an account is deleted, it cannot be restored.

Once you have successfully registered with AltMass and created your profile, you can start searching for suitable jobs on the platform. Go to “Find jobs” from the menu and start searching for keywords that match the your career job, skills or services you offer.

Refine your search
Use the filters to refine your search and get the best results you want.
Use keywords around your search terms to get accurate search results. For example, type “Accountant or Editing” (with keywords) in the search box to get job, project and service results that include the exact keywords. To remove a keyword from the search, use a hyphen (without a space) before the keyword. For example, searching for ‘PHP’ ‘development’ will only show projects with PHP in the project name, not ‘development’.

You may come across a job you like while you are job searching. You can access additional events of your favorite by going to the dashboard and clicking on the “favorite” tab.

Searches are stored, making it easy to quickly search for jobs.
