The purposes

Working very closely with the Sales Director, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of coordination and cooperation between the business consultant and sales dealer in sales mode, as well as for marketing transactions, development and monitoring of field weapons in coverage areas. His job is to ensure that the strategy and merchandising strategies as well as KPIS will collide with business advisors and distributors from seven states, including Rivers, Abia, Imo, Ananbara, Karabar, Akwaibom, Bayersa and Enugu. He/she works closely with business consultants and distributors in managing and implementing commercial and consumer activation programs, as well as managing and implementing implementation and competitive activities. Role owners provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to expand all important sales skills.

Main areas of responsibility

  • Volume and Market Share - Delivery -
  • It provides area volume goals while safeguarding volume and market share growth and reporting changes/issues to line managers.
  • Distributor Management -

Work related to sales dealers. Effectively manage local sales and marketing activities and ensure the achievement of brand designated goals determined by management. for example

  • Introducing new brands,
  • Route to Market (RTM) Planning and Strategies;
  • Monitoring prices, etc.
  • Product Availability -
  • In my coverage area, ensure 100% availability of JTI products across all channels and locations in our market. We set up close contacts and relationships with wholesalers/retailers/horeka owners to support the region meeting their goals in terms of volume and distribution.
  • SOM, Market Information and Advertising Programs.
    responsible for effective implementation of sales,
  • Distribution, merchandising through effective territorial planning and management & field force regulations. We monitor progress and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • People Management and Leadership -
  • Manage and implement a direct team of five business consultants from seven Ostonigeria states.
  • Motivating coaches, development, sales teams, and ensure that all high quality programs are implemented.
  • Make sure you have created an activation environment where talent is maintained, results are recognized and rewarded.
  • Report - Collect and distribute the accurate and timely market and intelligent interests of JTI and its competitors, making line managers available daily, contributing to the topic and quality of decisions made by management.
  • External Environment - This is constantly changing due to the inherent volatility of political, socioeconomic and legal frameworks. Therefore, you need to fully and clearly understand the external environment of our market (particularly Law & S) and work properly with internal teams and internal teams and distributors to ensure that they are best and appropriate for the future.

Minimum requirements

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 8-10 years (3-5 years at management level) sales and sales/sewer management/experience in implementing consumer and commercial marketing plans. Proven track record in developing talent and sales skills
